These are from the birthday fun at Red Robin, shame I didn't get a group shot but it's hard to take pics when everyone is just having fun.

I took this picture wed night and love it... now I want to use it in something.

my scrap stuff arrived today and I can't wait to start playing with all of it. made deliveries to the customers and was sorry I had to let some of it go. haha
I bought a great coffee stamp set and can't wait to start creating with that. fun indeed!

Yesterday I had a treat and was able to spend part of the day with Donita (happy birthday) Dad, Deidre and Amelia. We celebrated Donita's b-day and went to the Green Hills open mall area. Lunch was served at California Pizza Kitchen - surprisingly good prices, We split a Thai pizza and a Greek pizza - both very yummy in different ways. The thai was warm and had a nice spice quality to it, and the greek was light and summer with great veggies and feta. Also enjoyed the appetizer just a simple cheese bread but the tomato's for the top were great. Afterwards we walked to Jakes House ie. the Life is Good shop and I stopped in the Cosmetics Market on my way.

Have you ever walked into a store and heard a chorus of something go "whaaaaa" that is my experience in the Market. LOVED it, I have been a Sephora girl for awhile now, but this was a serious contender. Not as bright and in your face, more low key and shop friendly. I will definitely go back with a little bit of play money and time.

Headed home via the Lab where my Dad was able to play proud Papaw and pass his granddaughter around to all the willing participants. It's also sweet to see dad around co-workers who adore him and enjoy him like we do. Made  a quick detour for coffee (mine was an enjoyable iced grande with sugar free vanilla and skim milk)

Nice afternoon off from work... even better to hang out with family.

Then I went home and scrapbooked the rest of the night. good wonderful wednesday indeed. now onto a terrific thursday and a fantastic friday.

What was the best thing about your weekend?

That Dominic had it all off as well. It's always nice to actually get some time with him on the weekend. Also, the birthday was pretty sweet.

So I am wrapping up what was a pretty good birthday week. I am always reminded of how much I love my family when ever we get together and celebrate. We had a lovely birthday dinner at Red Robin... the staff did bring out 3 Sundays for Donita, Deidre and myself... to which I turned a lovely shade of beat red while they serenaded us with a lovely birthday roll call. The waitress (Mandy) rocked and was incredibly patient and personable.
I spent a good chunk of the afternoon with Debe going first to Bath Junkie and then Barnes and Noble before the fam dinner. Dinner was loud and long but overall good. And afterwards I walked back over to Barnes and Noble with Dad and Donita and Amelia. Seeing my father become a papaw is so heartwarming and sweet. He was growling at Amelia and she was just smiling at him. Too cute. She already has him even more wrapped than the 3 of us do. Which is pretty special considering that we really are a spoiled family.
Welp, I'm off to do some laundry - apparently it's good to wear clothing for work and finish some thank you cards.

Today is my birthday - I am officially in my late 20's.... time flies doesn't it?
I am spending this morning with my good dear friend Karinne, the husband and I are picking up my little (twin) sister at 2 and we are heading to Bath Junkie in Hendersonville and from there probably going to Barnes and Noble and then meeting up with the rest of the fam at 5 at Red Robin for dinner and presents.

That it's only liquid sunshine... and that the baloney I'm eating now will make the steak better in the future.

Dom and I attempted to cook together last night. That usually ends in frustration and confusion. Kinda the same thing last night, there were just too many cooks in the kitchen. haha but we did turn out a very delish veggie soup and its super cheap and easy. Just use the vegetables you have in your fridge  or freezer.

tomato sauce and equal parts h2o
chicken broth
1 c frozen corn
five big mushrooms chopped
1 c baby carrots chopped
3 stalks celery chopped
handful of sun dried tomatoes
just a pinch of capers
good squirt of garlic paste
canned chicken - not at sceevy as it sounds, I use it all the time and it's fine.
and at the end of cooking a handful of egg noodles.

warm it all up - put a lid on and let it simmer on low for a bit to cook the veggies through. Totally satisfying and filling.
